Due date reminders

This is a reminder to all class members that your theory summary and blog profiles are due on Monday. Please be sure the summary is posted. Email me if you have problems or questions about posting.

Also, for your profiles, I enjoy reading what is written so far, but I want to emphasize that you MUST pay attention to grammar, capitalization, and punctuation if you do not want to lose points. Also, many of you have listed interests, books, movies, etc., but have not completed the "About me" section, which is what I will be grading.

Next, some of you have not checked the first box that makes your profile public. If you do not check this and save your settings, then I cannot read your profile and cannot give you a grade for that assignment.

In addition, remember that you need to think about a book review and a final analytical paper you will post. This is not a new paper; take one you did in class and revise and edit it to be posted on this site.

Finally, remember to look at the extra credit options for posting -- creative writing or personal essays. Check out some other blogs online to see what kind of things people write. Though, make it appropriate for a class website. For instance, the experience of being a senior: What is like knowing you only have THREE WEEKS left in high school? Then, you are free from both the obligation and protection that high school offers. It is like stepping into a completely new world? What are you plans, your fears, your dreams? Write (using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation) and I will give you extra credit when it is posted! You will then be able to see what your peers are thinking and planning and leave comments to encourage and to sympathize.
